Sheri Sullivan, Director of Music
Sheri Sullivan, originally from Fairfax, Virginia, has worked in church music for nearly 20 years, previously serving in other United Methodist, Baptist, and UCC denominations. She received a Bachelor in Music Education; voice concentration, from the Indiana University School of Music, Bloomington (BME ’77). She later continued her schooling at Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis, earning a Master of Arts and Church Music degree while graduating cum laude in 2000. Sheri feels that much of her strengths lie in the growth and development of church music ministry by offering a variety in the music programming and opportunities for all ages to participate in a multi-dimensional program. This includes chimes, hand bells, graded children’s choirs, adult choirs, cantatas, dramas, brass ensembles, liturgical movement and worship enhancement through visual art. A life long learner, Sheri is currently working on a book to help church musicians, new to the field, better equip themselves to the idiosyncrasies of church music and the parishes they serve. 8540 US 31 South,
