The Elizabeth Ministry
is an outreach for women in special times of motherhood. It is
based on
the relationship between Mary & Elizabeth. The Elizabeth Ministry
mission is to cherish children, encourage families & build community. By
sharing their stories and experiences, women serve one another in an
atmosphere of faith, love, and hope.
"GIRLS NIGHT OUT"
for Elizabeth Ministry
All ladies are invited
to an Elizabeth Ministry Overnight on Friday, October 8, 2010.
We will be meeting at the Comfort Inn and Suites at Southport Road and
Gray Road. The rate with tax is approximately $100.00 (2 queen beds a a
pullout sofa, pool and continental breakfast.) RSVP to Whitney at
whitney725@sbcglobal.net.
All ladies are welcome and you may come for the evening or plan to stay
all night. The evening will include a short lesson, snacks, games, and
lots of much needed girl time. This will replace the regular Elizabeth
Ministry October Gathering.
THE NEXT ELIZABETH MINISTRY GATHERING
is Thursday,
November 11 at 6:30 pm. All women are invited.
These gatherings (usually the second Thursday of
each month) are open to any woman in our community at any stage of
motherhood. The purpose of these gatherings is for women to come together
to support and share with each other during those crazy and chaotic
child-rearing years. We share insights on a variety of issues, support
each other through prayer, and snack! Also, every other month or so, we invite an
"experienced" mom to come in, one whose children are grown and out of the
house generally, to share "what she knows now that she didn't know then."
We were so blessed by the messages that the women brought to us last year
and look forward to more this year. We hope you will join us this year, as
we build new friendships, grow as mothers, and enjoy some fun and
fellowship. (Childcare is provided!)
