The Elizabeth Ministry
is an outreach for women in special times of motherhood. It is
based on
the relationship between Mary & Elizabeth. The
Elizabeth Ministry
mission is to cherish children, encourage families & build
community. By
sharing their stories and experiences, women serve one another
in an
atmosphere of faith, love, and hope.
THE NEXT ELIZABETH MINISTRY GATHERING
is
Thursday,
August 14
from 6:30-8:00
pm in room 208. These gatherings (the second Thursday of each month) are
open to any woman in our community at any stage of motherhood. The purpose
of these gatherings is for women to come together to support and share
with each other during those crazy and chaotic child-rearing years. We
share insights on a variety of issues, support each other through prayer,
and snack! Right now we are going through the book What Every Mom Needs
which is put out by MOPS. You do not need to buy this book as this is an
open discussion format. Also, every other month or so, we invite an
"experienced" mom to come in, one whose children are grown and out of the
house generally, to share "what she knows now that she didn't know then."
We were so blessed by the messages that the women brought to us last year
and look forward to more this year. We hope you will join us this year, as
we build new friendships, grow as mothers, and enjoy some fun and
fellowship. (Childcare is provided!)
